"Untitled" (50K JPEG)

Euthanasia is a provocative and controversial subject. Euthanasia is an aspect of change in the modern social landscape that can create intensive emotional debate. This piece provides a visual and sensitive metaphor examining euthanasia. This examination can be viewed spiritually or secularly. The clouds on the 'other side' of the floating clock represent the various aspects of moving beyond this life and release from pain. The clock has no hands to indicate that euthanasia is about choosing your own time. This image was developed as a feature page for an article on euthanasia published in LINK magazine, Australia, June 1995. This piece was created using Abobe PhotoShop for the background and clouds. The clockface and mantle piece were rendered from 3D models constructed in AliasSketch.
